The most common type of stars are the red dwarfs. Red dwarfs, becuase of they're small size, burn very slowly and in result they expand they're lifetime to over 100 billion years.

After the stars gets out of fuel, it collapses and the outer layers explodes, turning it into a supernova.

  • Big stars don’t necessarily mean hot stars, and Betelgeuse has a surface average temperature of only 3,600 K, this means it is much colder than our Sun.

  • Betelgeuse is the first star to have its photosphere measured.

  • Betelgeuse is designated as Alpha Orionis.

  • This star moves at a speed of 30 km / 18.6 mi per second.
